The article talks about increase in food contamination and foodborne diseases like salmonellosis or parasites, emerging zooneses and increase in the use of veterinary drugs, increase in mycotoxins including post-harvest handling techniques and monitoring, fishery product safety, increase in environmental pollutants and chemical (e.g. pesticide) residues and emergency situations like increased risk of disasters.
